acupuncture – stimilates and rebalances

— back to 'About' —

Acupuncture is a classical and historic Chinese therapy. The location and therapeutic functions of acupoints, and their distribution on the body have been recorded for well over two thousand years, although additional points and micro systems such as ear or scalp acupuncture have been added since that time. An acupuncturist inserts very fine needles into specific points on the body, selected and combined according to the individual condition and nature of the problem being treated. Usually, a few different points are treated simultaneously with needles remaining in for fifteen to twenty minutes.

Acupuncture stimulates and rebalances the circulation and improves the body’s defense system and healing response.

The World Health Organization acknowledges Acupuncture as an effective treatment for many diseases, injuries and for rehabilitation. Pre-sterilized single use needles are used for your protection.
